What People Are Saying

"Bhutan was an amazing experience. The people exhibit
a peaceful attitude. The Tiger’s Nest Monastery is
awe inspiring – a mystical experience. Karma was one
of the best guides we have met. Very well organized in U.S.
and Bhutan."

"We really enjoyed and
relaxed on the trip knowing that we were in safe hands and that
every detail was taken care of. From flights to hotels to
tours to restaurants to hikes – we did not have to worry
about a thing. Fantastic service, we would definitely recommend
it!"

"Karma was my guide in Bhutan before he started his own travel
agency. His knowledge of Bhutan is extensive and thorough,
including its history and geography, culture and customs. Religion
colors the lives of the people, and if you can fit in a festival,
as I did, you will come away with a truly memorable experience.
I found it extraordinary to learn of the government's cautious
embrace of the modern world, while simultaneously preserving Bhutan's
cultural traditions. Mine was not a birding trip, but to my surprise,
Karma would spot and identify the most elusive of birds.
Karma always watched out for my comfort. If there was a
certain type of food I liked for dinner, or if there might be
a more comfortable room at the hotel, Karma would take care of
it, even without my asking. Stopping the car to take
a photograph was never a problem. He's responsible, yet
easygoing--exactly what you would want in a guide!"

"We had a wonderful time on our week-long tour with DhenZhang
Travel. Karma is a fantastic guide and went the extra mile
to make us feel welcome. Bhutan is fantastic: The scenery
is amazing, the people are warm and friendly, and the service
was great too."

"We were 7 friends who decided to explore this magnificent
country of Bhutan without really knowing what to expect. It turned
out to be an experience of a lifetime - unlike any other (and
we are all seasoned travelers) mainly thanks to Karma, our guide,
who from the moment he met us at the airport became the 8th member
of the group. His wealth of knowledge on any subject, his sense
of humour, his friendliness, warmth and care made us forget we
were tourists and almost local citizens. A dinner at his home
to meet his family was another proof of his generosity. One of
the highlights on the trip was meeting the then Crown Prince on
his visit to one of the villages where we were staying –
what else could you ask for?
The entire organization of
the trip was impeccable, from general visiting to trekking in
the hillsides. Karma had everything under control. Wish we could
go again! "

"I have been to Bhutan twice and an outstanding guide is absolutely
essential to one's journey there. Karma Letho is such a
guide. I know from experience. You really can't afford to
take chances on selecting a knowledgeable and skilled guide and
his tour company considering Bhutan's complex history, geography,
culture, flora, animal life, and the many options for experiencing
the country. Even your well-being can be at stake if you
trek into the mountains. You're in good hands with Karma.
He's fun too. As an example of his extensive knowledge of
the country, he gave me valuable information on Bhutan's
national sport - archery. I was then able to have an article
published highlighting that sport. I can't wait to go back
to Bhutan."

"I had the pleasure of touring Western Bhutan in 2004 with
Karma...We visited Thimpu, Paro, Punakha and Gangtey...In Gagntey,
Karma was kind enough to organize a stay at a private house in
a village where we stayed with a local family. I have fond memories
of the conversation we had as we ate dinner that evening in the
kitchen. Throughout our trip Karma went above and behind the call
of duty to make sure that our trip was extra special. Karma made
sure to tailor our trip around our interests and took us to places
that most tourists did not get a chance to visit. Additionally,
he always did his best to make sure that we were given the best
accommodations and service at the various hotels that we stayed
at. More then anything we appreciated Karma's warm, caring and
considerate nature and his pride in and knowledge of Bhutan. I
have had the pleasure of visiting many exotic destinations and
I can unequivocally say that Karma was the best guide that I have
ever had on any of my trips. In terms of Bhutan, I can highly
recommend a trip as it is a very unique and spiritual place. A
week there recharges the batteries and allows you to visit a place
with arguably unparalleled natural beauty inhabited by proud people
who have managed to 'modernize'
at their own pace while still keeping their traditional values.
I highly recommend Karma as a guide for a trip to Bhutan and am
happy to be contacted should you have any questions."
